The Mathematical Failure of Special Relativity

(A short version of february 2015)

1. An observer is moving with speed v from point B to point C. The light-source is resting in A. The distance AC is longer than the distance AB. So it results an effective light-speed  V¯c² - v²  between A and the observer.

A                                      AC = c
                                         BC = v
                                         AB = V¯c² - v²

B        C

The Lorentz-Factor does describe the proportions of length of the lines AC and AB in the right-angled triangle ABC, that is   c : V¯c² - v² , converted  1 : V¯1 - v²/c² .

2.  In his Theory of Special Relativity, Einstein says to transform the speed of light from a moving system into a resting system of coordinates. But falsely he uses the above formula V¯c² - v²  which is valid in case of the Michelson-Morley-Experiment (1887). Looking at the following picture we see: The light going with speed c from A to B in a moving system, has in the resting system the speed  V¯c² + v².

A                                   AB = c
                                      BC = v
                                      AC = V¯c² + v²

B        C

The light-ray A-B in the moved system goes in the resting system from A to C. Its speed on the line AC results from the both vectors AB ( = c) and BC ( = v), that is V¯ c² + v² . Einstein wrong!

3. According to Einstein's principle of special relativity, light has in the moved system the speed c. The result for the resting system is  V¯c² + v². On the other hand Einstein says, the light-speed c does not depend on the movement of the light-source (= Principle of constant speed of light). But if we presuppose that light speed c ist independent of the movement of the light-source, then the expanding light-sphere is standing in A. So the light-ray goes in the resting system from A to B with speed c. But never this ray of light has speed V¯c² - v² in the resting system.

There is only one physical reality. Either expansion of light is independent of the movement of the light-source. Or the light joins to the movement of the light-source. In other words: Either the expanding light-sphere is standing in A, or it is moving with the moved system. The Principle of constant speed of light is inconsistent with the Principle of special relativity. The principle of special relativity requires that the middle of the light-sphere does move with speed v.

There is only one space. During the same period of time, when the light goes in the moved system from A to B, the point B is moving to C. In the moment of the arrival of the light, B and C is the same point. It is logical and really impossible that the same light arrives in a certain point (the point named B in the moved system and named C in the resting system) at different times.

4. The formula  V¯c² - v² only does describe the apparent effect of slower motion as a result of increasing distance between light-source and observer. Concluding from this a slower running of time is nonsense. In reality, there is no connection between speed of light an the steady flow of time. Relativity of time is a mistaken and unnecessary idea. Its roots can be found in ideology and in state of sciences in the epoch around the year 1900.

The mathematician Gertrud Walton ( home.btconnect.com/sapere.aude ) gave me the hint that Einstein´s transformation of the expanding light-sphere between two systems of coordinates is faulty.
